Decorative Concrete

Polished Floors

Polished concrete is a great flooring option because it makes use of an existing or new concrete floor.  The concrete is brought to a high degree of shine through the use of grinding equipment with diamond impregnated blades or pads.  Similar to sanding wood, these blades or pads are used to "polish" the concrete with progressively finer grits.  A hardener or densifier is used in the process to protect the surface and create a brighter, more dust proof finish, which can lower energy costs and improve air quality. Polished concrete floors are low-maintenance, more durable, resist staining and are easier to clean than many flooring options.  Polished concrete is a highly durable flooring option and is most commonly used with interior floors such as shops, businesses, basements, and garages.
